Vase by Daniel Buren

Daniel BUREN - The Hundred Vases, 2010

The French contemporary artist has reached international recognition for his Minimalist work focused around the creation of geometric motifs and immersive installations. It was recently possible to admire his intervention mingling geometry and light play at the Fondation Louis Vuitton, or witnesses "Les Deux Plateaux", an in situ installation at the heart of Paris.

At the moment, we can admire his installation in the London Underground as well as two exhibitions in Milan and Sao Paulo.

His work reminds us of the energy of Vasarely, the graphic strength of Geneviève Claisse and the abstract simplicity of Delaunay...

Buren reinvents both Minimalistic art and ceramics in the piece from a series in which each work is unique.
